Mindfulness means something different to us all. Here we've included a few breathing exercises. Some of us found it easier to stay in the moment when pacing the breath with the onscreen graphics, so they're really worth checking out if you've not seen them before. But we're all in front of our screens more often than is probably recommended. So lets not forget how lucky we are to live in this beautiful county. Any time you can get to the beach or the woods, go. Being outside and appreciating all that's around us is possibly the most rewarding mindfulness activity there is. It's got buckets of feelgood - and is even fun in the rain. Thank goodness, considering our weather. Remember, you know yourself better than anyone else ever could. You know what gets you out of your head and into the now. If you struggle to think in the moment, why not make a mindfulness card to put in your wallet, or carry a smooth stone in your coat pocket? You might put scent onto a tissue in your handbag, put on an especially cosy winter jumper, make a cup of your favourite fruit tea, or light scented candles. What's best is what works for you. EXPERIMENT, PRACTICE, ENJOY!! |
