1: Social Warriors
Start your journey with HOPE here!
Become a Social Warrior to access all our groups. You'll be asked to join our mailing list and answer some questions about your current wellbeing. Periodically, we'll ask you to complete this questionnaire again, so we can see if being part of HOPE is helping you achieve improvements in the areas you've identified as important to you.

2: Motivated Mentors
As you find your feet in the group, get involved and start engaging with our specialist projects, you'll graduate from Social Warrior to Motivated Mentor. By now, you'll be active in the Empowerment Project and/or the Lived Experience Team. You'll be using skills to take ownership of your mental health and offer encouragement to our Social Warriors. Motivated Mentors support Social Warriors when they are at groups. They might meet a new member outside the venue the first time they come, so they have someone to walk in and sit with. They'll also be responsible for showing new group members around the building and making a welcoming hot drink when they arrive.
3: Recovery Stars
To graduate to the Recovery Star level, Motivated Mentors complete DBS certification and applicable training, supplied free through partnerships with other local agencies. These learning sessions will equip you with qualifications in: mentoring, lone working and advice giving. Recovery Stars lead our groups. To facilitate the DBT peer support group, Recovery Stars must also have completed a full year of DBT. We incentivise membership at this level. When funding for the project is secured, Recovery Stars will be paid £10 per hour (the real living wage) to run HOPE's groups.
